Child in time

    Melodia ''Child in time'' , este melodia celor de la Deep Purple. Cantecul este un protest impotriva razboiului din Vietnam . O alta interpretare a cantecului poate fi si cauza unui incident neplacut, in care fiica lui Ian Gillan a fost impuscata  de catre un barbat.(See the blind man shooting at the world,Bullets flying, ooh taking toll ) , dar aceasta interpretare nu este una foarte sigura.Melodia dureaza 10 minute si 18 secunde si a fost lansata in luna iunie a anului 1970.
  ''Child in time'' a fost folosita si in documentarul ''One day in September'', si a fost scrisa de catre membrii trupei : Ritchie Blackmore ( chitarsit), Ian Gillan ( vocalist), Roger Glover (bassist ) , Jon Lord ( pianist ), Ian Paice ( tobosar) .
